Myki Project

This project was conducted as part of my studies at General Assembly only – it was not completed for a real client.


Observe and interview Myki kiosk users to determine problems. Define, prototype and test a solution.

Research discoveries

  • People use cash to top up Myki passes to avoid wait times for card payment.
  • People don’t use or know about purchasing a new Myki card at the kiosk.


A card-only, top-up only kiosk that includes a faster and more streamlined payment process.
